Established in October 1994, My Word operates from the eastern suburbs of Melbourne and is owned and run by Myrine Hawksworth. My Word offers clients one-to-one support and all the benefits of Myrine’s many years of experience as a writer, editor and publication project manager.

Now operating primarily as an online business, My Word takes raw notes and a client brief and drafts copy for a wide range of projects. Alternatively, My Word takes drafted copy in an MS Word document or email format, edits for literals and style inconsistencies, ensures the copy makes sense, delivers the required message accurately and effectively, and returns polished copy ready for publication.

Why the warrior logo?

In Greek legend, the Amazon warriors were a strong race of women, who lived by their own values in their own community and excelled in physical prowess and battle skills. The name ‘Myrine’ comes from the women of the Amazon legends.

Legend has it Greek kings would not go into battle without this powerful race of women armed at their side.
